Rules of Photography


Depth of Field (shallow and wide) - Whats in focus. Shallow; Not a lot of the picture is in focus. Wide; A lot of the picture is focused

Light (angle and intensity) - angle; where the light is coming from. Intensity; how bright the light is

Shadows -Absence of light

Diffusion - Decreasing the intensity of the light; softening

Exposure - What your photo actually looks like. Too light? Too dark? Or in between?

Aperture (F-Stop) - Inside the lens; how big the opening inside is

Shutter Speed - the mirror inside of the camera; how fast the mirror opens & closes

ISO - Sensor inside of the camera; About how sensitive the sensor is to light

Telephoto- Zooms in closer to subject.

Prime- Bigger aperture setting. In Low light; EXCELLENT. But you have to move in order to get closer. Doesn't zoom

Wide Angle- Extremely wide angle, 10-20 Millimeters.

Aperture- The bigger the size, the smaller the number.  

ISO- as you increase the ISO, you increase the amount of grain you'll see on the photo.

sentence #1- President Barack Obama embraces his wife Michelle after getting on the airplane at Kennedy International Airport in Washington D.C., he had just returned from campaigning in Ohio Sunday afternoon.

Sentence #2- The President, while on his way to the terminal, tripped and fell requiring medical attention for a cut on his left cheek.

2012.

 I chose this photo as one of my favorites because basically this whole photo is just so appealing. The fighter jets behind a barricade of fire; AMAZING. I think this photo is just really cool and the coloring is perfect and its really clear.


 I thought this photo was just the cutest! It really focuses on the size difference between the hand watch and the sea horse. The photographer really did a good job on making it very clear on what the subject and point of this photo was. Its just too cute as well, which makes it that much better.



This photo is my absolute favorite! The photographer caught it PERFECTLY when the moon and sun crossed each other. It was also a really big deal for 2012, so its my favorite. The photo looks really pretty and has a relaxing appeal to it as well.


Best Of 2012

1. What was the best song of 2012?

Although this song was over-rated, it was and still one of the most popular song in the nation. It's super catchy, even though you can never sing along because you cant understand what he's saying, the dance is super contagious!

2. What was the best movie of 2012?
This was a No- Brainer! The Hunger Games was most def. the best movie of the year! I watched it in theaters 4 times! Thats how awesome this movie was.


3. What was the most important news story of the year? 
On Election Day, Maine, Maryland and Washington became the first states to legalize gay marriage via popular vote.

4. Who was the most important person of 2012?
Barack Obama of course. Elected for another 4 years as our Nations President. COOL

5. What was the biggest sports OR entertainment story OR sports/entertainment person of 2012?
KNOCK OUT OF THE YEAR! Marquez knocked down one of the best boxers ever! Manny Pacquiao. This was the 4th fight and Marquez took the win by knockout in the 6th round.


Part 3:

1. Tell me what is the one thing that happened on your holiday that you will remember? It can be a trip, a family visit, a present, something fun.
The most memorable event that happened during the break was surviving the "End Of The World". It was tricky, but I kept strong and survived. (:

2. What are your resolutions for the 2013 year?
To make really good grades and raise my GPA. Perform really well on all of my exams and remain finish my school year out positive and strong.

3. What are you looking forward to in 2013?
2013? I'm not really looking forward to anything special. The year I cant wait for is 2014 <3 I'm graduating High School! (: Then off I am to the real, adult world! Scary but really exciting.
